Ivan is a 58-year-old Bulgarian and is a “seagull” – he spends time with foreign tourists for a fee in Sunny Beach. Ivan has witnessed huge changes in the resort – once tourists from East Germany, the Soviet Bloc and Scandinavia came here, and now British and Germans are coming. Ivan has deep personality problems and remains trapped in the life he has led since his youth. He remains trapped between Sunny Beach and the nearby village where he lives, between his work as a “seagull”, his relationships with women and his other professions, between dreams and reality.
