Inspired by the true life story of Bulgarian paralympic long jump world champion Mihail Hristov. The story follows him from the moment he loses his arms to making the life-changing decision to become a professional athlete.
Niki Iliev
Niki Iliev is a Bulgarian actor, director, and screenwriter born in 1981 in Sofia. He earned a Master’s in film directing and acting from New Bulgarian University in 2011. His directorial debut “The Foreigner” (2012) and second film “Living Legends” (2014) became the highest-grossing Bulgarian films of their time. He has directed hit TV series like “House Arrest”, “Dear Heirs”, “Policemen Out of Town”, and “The Closet”, where he also stars. His third film “All She Wrote” won awards internationally, and his fourth, “Reunion” (2019), was Bulgaria’s top film that year. Since 2015, he also teaches directing at New Bulgarian University.
