“Bulgaria in Trans” aims to create an unbiased portrait of the transgender community in Bulgaria by sharing the personal stories of the transgender women who took part in the exhibition “The Other Bulgarian Women.”
Mihail Vuchkov
Mihail Vuchkov began his media career as a host on music TV channel MM and later took on key roles such as director, producer, and program director. He holds a Master’s in Media Studies from New School University in New York and has worked for Viacom CBS. After returning to Bulgaria, he focused on television, film, and marketing for film productions. He is also active in civil rights initiatives, including organizing Sofia Pride. In 2022, he was nominated for the “Person of the Year” award by the Bulgarian Helsinki Committee for his contributions to transgender rights.
