Vida’s father, France, idolizes his own father—a hero of the partisan resistance during World War II. When a German supermarket chain decides to build a new store in his hometown, destroying a monument to his father in the process, France declares war on this new “enemy.”
Vida, however, is indifferent to the past—she’s focused on trying to get pregnant, though without success. While she and her husband Toni await news from a fertility clinic, France leads a group of local volunteers dressed as partisans and Nazis in a battle against the supermarket. But not everyone supports his guerrilla war against the grocery chain.
A dark comedy about what happens when a family goes to war—with itself.
