Paris, 1835. The bold young pianist Frédéric Chopin leaves his native Poland to conquer the French capital with the power of his music. The film follows his rise within high society and elite salons, where he composes his timeless masterpieces and pursues romance among aristocratic circles. Torn between glamorous parties and the solitude of the creative process, Chopin struggles with his fragile health in a race against time. “Chopin, A Sonata in Paris” is an intimate portrait of a genius for whom music remains the only true passion and final sanctuary.
