In 1984, in Finnish Lapland, single mother Nina hears an explosion. Soon, rumors spread that a Soviet missile has crossed the border and crashed into Lake Inari. As the locals enjoy the vibe of the ’80s, Nina decides to investigate the incident. Her encounter with fighter pilot Kai, who holds information about the missile, changes her life. The Missile is an absurd comedy based on true Cold War events and a drama about domestic violence that raises the question of whether we can recognize danger before it’s too late.
