In Anders Thomas Jensen’s signature dark comedy style, “The Last Viking” follows a man who, after his father’s death, uncovers a shocking family secret tied to an ancient Viking heritage. Alongside a group of eccentric friends, he embarks on an absurd journey to reclaim his ancestral honor in the modern world. The film explores themes of masculinity, family bonds, and identity, delivered with sharp dialogue and unmistakable humor. It is a story about what it means to be a “hero” in a world that has long since traded swords and shields for safety.
