Maria Sole Tognazzi

Maria Sole Tognazzi is an acclaimed Italian film director and screenwriter, born on May 2, 1971, in Rome. Daughter of legendary actor and director Ugo Tognazzi, she began her career as an assistant director before debuting with short films in the late 1990s. Tognazzi is celebrated for her nuanced storytelling and strong female leads. She remains a significant voice in contemporary Italian cinema.
