Animari and Zlatko take young Rossi into their unique boarding school in rural Bulgaria. While she moves forward in school and makes friends, the founders face challenges to keep the school running. A poetic, whimsical journey through a year in their lives.
Yana Alexieva
Yana Alexieva began her path in cinema as a first assistant director, working for ten years on many Bulgarian and international productions. She directed several episodes of the series “Meetings with Modernist Architecture.” Interested in human rights and observational storytelling, “School for Hope” is her debut full-length documentary.
